AHA was appointed to conduct external quality assurance reviews of Community Service Organisations (CSO) funded by the Department to provide Family Services and Out of Home Care Services.

The external reviews conducted by AHA were part of the tri-annual re-registration process for CSOs. CSOs also conducted internal reviews of their performance in relation to the Registration Standards. This process aimed to ensure quality services and promote children’s rights to safety, stability and healthy development.

AHA conducted the first round of reviews of 47 CSOs over a one-year period, and was re-appointed to conduct a second round of reviews of 69 organisations over the subsequent two years.
