AHA conducted an Economic Review of the Rural Women’s General Practitioner Service (RWGPS), on behalf of the Department.

The RWGPS aims to improve access to primary and secondary health care services for women in rural and remote Australia who currently have little or no access to a female GP.

The review identified and evaluated the costs of the service, distribution of funds between agencies, overall value for money of the service, future financial needs and costs of this service to other agencies/organisations.
