Jessica has experience working both in research and government. Her qualifications include a Master of Science which focussed on the neuropathology of Parkinson’s disease. After obtaining her Master’s degree, Jessica spent a year at the University of Auckland’s Centre for Brain Research where she worked on a project focussing on X-linked dystonia parkinsonism (XDP).
Jessica has come to AHA after working at Medsafe, New Zealand’s medicines and medical devices safety authority. Her work focussed largely on product regulation and included secretariat roles for two government expert advisory committees. Throughout her time at Medsafe, Jessica worked on a range of projects related to the approval and classification of new and changed medicines.
Jessica is a confident communicator with experience in secretariat processes including preparing committee documents and maintaining committee membership.
