AHA was commissioned to assist the Department to evaluate existing pathology monitoring arrangements and to develop an Excel-based, menu-driven program model which reflected the key parameters of the new pathology agreement.  We developed two versions of the software, incorporating different projected service growth outlays.  The Department and members of the Pathology Consultative Committees now use the computer program on a monthly basis to monitor outlays, measure underlying trends and model the impacts of any proposed structural or fee changes.
