Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Science (Immunology) and Bachelor of Global Studies (Human Rights), and a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours). Her honours research, conducted at the Gippsland Region Public Health Unit, addressed complex health challenges facing underserved populations.
Prior to joining AHA, she undertook internships as a project officer with the Office of Health and Medical Research where she translated evidence into strategies for optimising government funding for biomedical research. She also interned as a communications advisor in Disability, Seniors and Carers Strategic Communications, where she honed her strong stakeholder and community engagement skills while developing initiatives to raise awareness on ageism and address age-based discrimination.
Buvini coordinates stakeholder consultations across numerous projects, drawing on her strong organisational, administrative and client-focused skills.
