Dr Bryn Lewis

Dr Bryn Lewis is a computer scientist and software developer with significant research and development experience in the health information sector. He has successfully developed and implemented many systems and provides ongoing maintenance support.

Recipient of an Australian Postgraduate Award and an ARC Post Doctoral Research Fellowship, Dr Lewis has a post-doctoral track record in health informatics, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence and information management.

He has been the technical lead in a number of challenging software development projects and has demonstrated the ability to find practical solutions for clients, solving their immediate problems and creating the basis for longer-term development in these challenging domains.

Dr Lewis is currently the lead developer for the following ongoing health projects:

• Program for Students with Disabilities: development of the A-HAARPS (AHA Application Registry and Processing System).
• CSO : ICT infrastructure for the administration of the Community Service Obligation Funding Pool.
• Price Disclosure: ICT infrastructure, including on-line secure data collection for the Price Disclosure Data Administrator.
• Clinical e-Audit: Online electronic infrastructure for the collection and analysis of clinical audit for General Practice.
• SISMO: Electronic production system for publication of eTG complete, the electronic version of Therapeutic Guidelines (refer www.tg.com.au)

Dr Lewis has specific development skills in Ms Windows and web-based development platforms, including:

• Windows development – Delphi 5, Delphi 7 and Delphi 2006; Together; Microsoft COM; VBA for Microsoft Word and Excel
• Database System Development – SQL server; Interbase; dbisam; MySQL; Access
• Web technologies – XML and XSLT, HTML, Javascript and CSS; Web services; PHP; PKI encryption.
